Dukes Finish 20th at PSU National Open

The Duquesne University women's cross country team finished in 20th place out of 34 teams with an average time of 23:06 at the 2005 Penn State National Cross Country Meet. The Dukes were led by sophomore Samantha Howard who placed 45th in the 259-runner field followed by senior Brianne Scott who finished 94th.
The ACC's Duke Univiersity took first with at 20:46, placing all five runners in the top 10 including Shannon Rowbury, who won the individual title with a time of 20:34.
Saint Joseph's, the only other Atlantic 10 squad at the event, finished 27th at 23:33.
The Red and Blue return to the trails on Saturday, Oct. 29 as they compete in the Atlantic 10 Championship in Philadelphia.
