Women's XC Places Fifth at A-10 Championship

LEESBURG, Va. - Senior Jenny DelSignore (Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home) finished in seventh place to pace the Duquesne women's cross country team to a fifth-place showing out of 14 teams at the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday morning at the Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, Va. 

DelSignore garners all-conference honors for the fourth consecutive season, touring the 5k course in 18:10.1. She places seventh for the second straight year after finishing sixth as a sophomore in 2015 and 10th as a freshman in 2014. 

The Dukes finished with 159 points on the day. Dayton won its second A-10 championship with 42 points followed by Richmond second (61), Davidson third (67) and Massachusetts fourth (143). 

Junior Elizabeth Morris (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) finished second for DU in 21st place with a time of 18:33.9 while senior Angela Mignanelli (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) placed 25th with a mark of 18:37.2.
