DU Women Place 4th at A-10 Championships

The Dukes' women's cross country team placed fourth overall at the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships Saturday morning at Schenley Park. Freshman Amy Ruffolo (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) led DU crossing 10th overall (18:28) in the field of 109 and was named to the All-Conference Team. Fellow frosh Samantha Howard was second for the Red & Blue taking 15th with a time of 18:46. She was followed by junior Tara Gerlach (18:55) in 19th place; junior Elizabeth Graham (19:29) in 37th and junior Brianne Scott in 44th (19:45). Junior Rebecca Stearns wrapped the top placers crossing 49th in 19:52. La Salle won the team title, regaining the championship from Richmond, led by sophomore Rachel Papin who took the individual crown with a time of 17:48.
