The Duquesne University women's cross country team has been ranked 12th in the first 2002 NCAA Division I Mid-Atlantic Region Coaches Poll.

Head Coach Bryan Delsite's Dukes are 4-2 on the season in dual meet action defeating Pitt, St. Bonaventure, Carnegie Mellon, Wheeling Jesuit and PSU-Altoona. The Dukes took fourth overall at the Malone Invitational last weekend.

Duquesne returns the talents of five letterwinners from last season in juniors Carrie Hucko (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) and Courtney Rex (Chesterland, Ohio/West Geauga) as well as sophomores Michelle Flynn (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway), Alison Buchanan (Ravenna, Ohio/St. Thomas Aquinas) and Amy Tucker (Johnstown, Pa./Richland).

The Red & Blue next host the Duquesne Invitational on Friday, Sept. 27, beginning at 3:45 pm at the Schenley Park Oval.
